Former Syracuse football player Naesean Howard, who is still facing charges in the stabbing of teammates, now faces a trespassing charge.According to Syracuse.com, Howard was told by a judge Wednesday morning to stay away from defensive backs Chauncey Scissum and Corey Winfield, the players he is accused of stabbing?at a barbecue in mid-April. Howard had been seen near the football teams training facilities.Howard told the judge that if he wasnt jailed he would do something to make sure he was arrested. Syracuse Universitys public safety department arrested the 20-year-old less than 12 hours later for trespassing on campus. He was still being held Wednesday night.?Howard had been indicted in May on first-degree assault charges in connection with the stabbings. The indictment also included charges of second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.Police say Scissum was critically injured with wounds to his neck, chest, left shoulder and bottom lip. Winfield was stabbed in the lower back, chest, abdomen and left wrist.The first-degree assault charge alleges that Howard intended to cause serious physical injury and carries a possible sentence of up to 25 years in prison.
