SEATTLE -- Adam Gase knows he gets a bit of an advantage as the new coach with a new team and no lengthy background on what he might try to pull in his first game in charge of the Miami Dolphins.Gase is also well aware the Seattle Seahawks have tape on what hes tried to do in the past as an offensive coordinator, including one memorable Super Bowl while Gase was in Denver.I think a lot of us felt like we were rolling at that time. Really, it was as close to a shutout as you can get. We got one (touchdown) late, Gase said recalling Seattles 43-8 blowout of Denver nearly three years ago. You have to do a lot of soul searching at that point and re-evaluate what you were doing and what went wrong and how you couldve changed things.Gase makes his debut as coach of the Dolphins on Sunday, facing a major challenge traveling to Seattle to take on one of the favorites in the NFC.The baseline in Seattle has now become 10 wins and a playoff appearance under Pete Carroll. And those expectations are no different entering a season where the Seahawks believe the swagger that led them to a Super Bowl title is back. While Seattles defense returns all of its elite talent, there is a different feel about the offense this year. Marshawn Lynch has retired , leaving it even more in the hands of quarterback Russell Wilson coming off the finest season of his young career. The finish to last season, the second half of last season, he couldnt have been sharper, Carroll said of Wilson. He comes off of that. Hes just added to his awareness and his command.Heres what else to watch for as Miami visits Seattle for the first time in 12 years:ON THE LINE: Overanalyzing the offensive line in Seattle has become a yearly tradition.Seattles revamped line played well during the preseason, but was thrown into flux this week with rookie Germain Ifedi, pegged to be the starting right guard, going down with an ankle injury in practice and expected to miss the opener. However Seattle fills the void, itll be challenged by Miamis powerful defensive line featuring Mario Williams in his debut with the Dolphis, along with Ndamukong Suh and the expected return of Cameron Wake from an Achilles tendon injury last season.Theyre loaded. Theyve got terrific personnel, Carroll said. Its going to be a great challenge for us.WELL-TRAVELED: Cornerback Byron Maxwell will be playing for his third team in as many years when he returns to Seattle. Maxwell spent his first four NFL seasons in Seattle in 2011-14, left for Philadelphia and is now with Miami. He said he stays in touch with the Seahawks defensive backs and is looking forward to the return.Where it all started, he said. I had a great time there my four years. I wouldnt trade it for anything in the world. Ive got a special bond with some guys there.Maxwell will always hold a special place among Seattle fans as being part of the first Super Bowl championship team. Gase said occasionally Maxwell will bring up the blowout victory that featured the top offense in the NFL getting shut down.He got blown out, Maxwell said. The No. 1 offense got smashed.DONT CALL IT A COMEBACK: Four-time Pro Bowl running back Arian Foster says his return from Achilles tendon surgery isnt a big deal.I wasnt dead. I had an injury, he said. Ive bounced back before.Foster will start for the Dolphins less than 11 months after the injury ended his 2015 season with the Houston Texans. Signed by Miami in July, Foster had only seven carries in the preseason, but beat out Jay Ajayi for the starting job.Injuries have limited Foster to 25 games in the past three years. He averaged 2.6 yards per carry in 2015 and turned 30 last month. You hear all of the geniuses that say thats whats supposed to happen at 30, he said. But I feel like if you take care of your body and you train like I train, you should be able to do good things.SPLIT BACKS: Thomas Rawls is healthy. But hes not completely in game shape, with Carroll likening his status this week to Rawls heading into his second preseason game after he got very limited action in the final preseason game.Expect Rawls and Christine Michael to split the carries in the Seattle backfield for the opener . It will be the first regular-season game for Rawls since breaking his ankle in Week 14 last season. Michael has earned the opportunity by averaging 6.0 yards per carry in the preseason and has improved executing his assignments.---AP Sports Writer Steven Wine contributed to this report.---Online:AP NFL website: www.pro32.ap.org and www.twitter.com/AP-NFLJack Roslovic Jersey . Los Angeles star goalie survived those perilous gymnastics with no problem, and he eventually backstopped the Kings to a skid-snapping win. Quick stopped 27 shots in his return from a 24-game injury absence, Jeff Carter scored the tiebreaking goal with 7:55 to play, and the Kings snapped their five-game losing streak with a 3-1 victory over the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday night. Mathieu Perreault Jersey .500 on the season. The Jets are now 0-5-1 in the second game of back-to-backs. The game started the same way the Vancouver game started the night before, with the Jets taking the first two penalties of the game and killing off the first, but the Oilers getting on the board first, scoring on the second man-advantage. http://www.jetsauthentic.com/authentic-logan-stanley-jets-jersey/ .Y. -- Marcell Dareus and the Buffalo Bills defence made life miserable for Super Bowl MVP Joe Flacco. Connor Hellebuyck Jersey . Barcelona also left injured defenders Carles Puyol, Javier Mascherano and Jordi Alba out of its squad for the trip to Glasgow. That means that Marc Bartra will probably start again in the centre of the defence alongside Gerard Pique. Teppo Numminen Jersey . -- In one brief spurt, Brazil turned a close game into a rout and proved again it will be a strong World Cup favourite. BOSTON -- If ever there were a game to build confidence, Boston College might have it now.Coming off a 49-0 loss in their Atlantic Coast Conference game at Virginia Tech last week, the Eagles face Wagner (2-0), a Football Championship Division school, in their on-campus home opener Saturday.Boston College (1-2), a Bowl Championship Subdivision school, is certainly in no position to underestimate a lower-division opponent after how its started this season. The Eagles enter Saturdays matchup in their first meeting with Wagner last in the ACC in total scoring (13.3 points per game) and at the bottom in total offense (262.7 yards per).BC plays the first of two weaker opponents before it returns to ACC play, hosting No. 5 Clemson on Oct. 7.The Eagles have lost 10 straight conference games, but coach Steve Addazio knows his team needs to gain confidence with the first of two consecutive non-conference games this week.Theres a game to be played -- go win the game, he said. Thats our charge. Every games critical.---Heres what to look for when the Eagles face the Seahawks:FIND THE RUNNING GAME: Addazio is most upset by his teams inability to run consistently. Known for their commitment to the running game since Addazio took over in 2013, the Eagles are next to last in the conference, rushing for just 124.3 per game.Thats one of the biggest things bothering mee right there, he said.ddddddddddddIts pretty easy: Were young up front and were not handling well right now some of the things that are going on. I think weve got to do a better job of simplifying the run game.STREAK: BC has won 24 straight against FCS schools after losing its first-ever, 27-0 to Massachusetts in 1978. Last year, the Eagles defeated FCS teams Maine, 24-3, and Howard, 76-0, in their first two games of the season.CAN THEY SCORE ENOUGH?: Wagner is playing a FBS team for the sixth time. In four of the other games its been held to single digits.LOOK OUT: This season has already seen the most FCS upsets over FBS schools with five. ACC-member Virginia is one of those, losing to in-state rival Richmond. So that may give Wagner some added confidence for an upset.NICE TO BE HOME: After opening the season with a home game in Ireland, a last-minute 17-14 loss to Georgia Tech in their ACC opener, the Eagles played a road game against Massachusetts -- albeit just a half hour away -- at Gillette Stadium, the home of the New England Patriots, before traveling to Virginia Tech. Wagner is the first of four straight games at Alumni Stadium. After the Seahawks, BC faces Buffalo, Clemson and, following an off week, Syracuse. ' ' '
