In the contact section of my website there are two different e-mail addresses by which you can contact me. One is for general enquiries and one is for enquiries about Giclée Prints. My son has set it up so you can click on either of these addresses and your mail client opens. I believe 'mailto' is the technical term.
I don't have a contact form, though I have been considering adding one.
Which method do you think is the most effective? A contact form or a mailto? Have any artists noticed differences in the number of enquiries when they've changed from one to the other?
From a personal point of view I prefer a mailto or even just copying and pasting the company's or individual's e-mail address into my personal e-mail account. I find contact forms to be hit and miss. Sometimes I've found there's an error in the form or if it goes through I'm wondering if I'll ever receive a reply. If I contact a specific address then at least I know I'm contacting an actual person.
Wat do you think of it ?
Please help. Thanks!
