Do you think spending too much money on mobile applications are worth?

As everyone know, most of the mobile application is free in nature (Agree, there are some with payment). But mobile application development involves huge amount of investment if it is building on android, iOS and Windows platform.Mobile phones with high-end configuration will be common things among the people that time. Do you think spending too much money on mobile application is worth or not?
